Senior Project Manager

Atlas Converting Equipment Ltd are looking for an exceptional Senior Project Manager to join their manufacturing business based in Milton Keynes. You will be joining a well established business with excellent growth plans and a growing portfolio of customers. As Senior Project Manager you will manage a small team of project managers and planning personnel, managing multiple projects across all project phases, including initiation, release, planning, execution, monitoring, control and customer acceptance on site. Taking the lead in ensuring all projects are delivered on time, in full and within budget, you will be instrumental in raising the profile of Project Management across the business. Responsibilities for The Senior Project Manager include: – Develop detailed project plans, including work breakdown structures, schedule creation, resource planning, costings and synthesising across multiple projects. – Maintain project risk registers and lead stakeholders to develop and mitigate any identified risks. – Manage the day-to-day activities of projects and staff communicate with cross functional project team as necessary to ensure project deliverables are on schedule and within cost parameters. – Communicate and collaborate with internal and external customers as needed in regards to project deliverables including managing expectations, presenting and interfacing with clients and senior management. – Make decisions and communicate trade-offs and risks drive key decisions across projects. – Make recommendations to management about schedules, prioritisation and resource allocation with input from team members. – Provide on-going project plan/status reporting for use by the business, customers and management – Manage the operational, resource and organisational capacity planning. – Coach and train project management team on PM processes and best practices. – Represent and support PM poli The successful Senior Project Manager will be Degree educated in a Project Management / Engineering related field with strong commercial experience. You will have a proven track record in the management of large technology orientated, multi-disciplinary projects preferably in a capital equipment manufacturing environment. Show successful delivery of high value contracts with experience of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and multiple project managers, across high profile and technologically development projects. Acting as a valuable part of the team and being the champion for improving deliverables while changing the culture with regard to project management within the organisation.
