Machine operator(slitter)

1. Main responsibility is to maintain mobile and stationary equipment in a safe and effective manner. 2. Assist in Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking drawings, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary. 3. Diagnoses mechanical problems for all the production machines like tube mills, Slitting line, Overhead cranes, fork lifters etc. 4. Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment. 5. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery. 6. Daily checks & operational maintenance activities. 7. Must be fully equipped with the mechanical tools & must maintain and secure work tools. 8. Maintain the preventative maintenance schedule for every vehicle in the company. Routine oil changes, tire rotation, fluid changes, battery inspections, brake inspections and replacement etc. 9. Maintaining Cleanliness in the shop, storage area and parts room. 10. Efficient to handle the additional tasks within stipulated timeframe. 11. Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs. 12. Install repaired parts into equipment, or install new equipment. 13. Operate cutting torches or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts. 14. Complete daily work and repair logs, ISO documents. 15. Communicate with operators of the related departments from other shifts. 16. Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use. 17. Assist with administrative duties related to building maintenance (Accommodation & Office area) 18. Maintain & obey all the Safety rules of wearing Helmets, Safety goggles, Gloves, Safety Shoes etc. 19. Responds to emergency situations as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of resolving immediate safety / operation concerns. 20.Ability to operate all the utilities required to operatethe whole plant
