Laminator/Slitter Operator

Responsibilities: The operation and general cleanliness and maintenance of machinery within the Laminating and slitting Department. The setup and monitoring of the manufacturing process in order to detect any defects or deviations from standards and to make adjustments as necessary to rectify faults and minimise waste in the process. To liaise with your Supervisor/ Manager on all matters of production and quality control. Main duties: Ensuring efficient organisation and make-readies are planned and performed for every job within the specified make ready time and within the allowance for spoilage. Ensuring the best quality of product is achieved and maintained and the running speed is maximised for the job in hand. Achieve correct coating and/or adhesive weights before full production start up and closely monitor throughout the production run for proper application/dispersion. Ensure specifications are adhered to that ensures correct slitting of materials. Ensure the correct materials/substrates are used, meet the required specifications and that the coating / adhesive is applied to the correct side. Ensure the product is slit reels are packed and palletised to customer specifications. When a machine is down and your 'on the runA duties have been interrupted you are required to clean and maintain the machine, ancillary equipment and surrounding areas to a high standard. 0.0000 Speciality: Mechanical.
