One of the UK's leading packaging manufacturers is recruiting Working in partnership with SLS Recruitment, they are looking to recruit a Pre Press Operator to join their team in Crewe, Cheshire. Operating as part of a busy design/pre press team, your primary responsibilities within this role will include (but not be limited to): Provide a design, pre press and CTP Service, in accordance with client brief, production planning schedules and quality standards for both litho and flexo processes. Perform accurate file management and digital artwork generation/manipulation. Efficient organisation of plate production. Repro artworks to correct specifications for litho and flexo print processes. Step & Repeat artwork to layouts for plate making process. Perform quality checking of production proofs when required. To be considered a successful candidate for this position, you must have a strong background in a similar Pre Press/ Repro role. You will have a strong background in the packaging industry (ideally food, healthcare or pharmaceutical industry experience). Previous experience using Esko Artpro software is essential. You should also have very strong Adobe Creative Suite skills, specifically Photoshop and Illustrator. Any experience of Quark Express would be a bonus, but not essential for this role. This position covers Monday-Friday 8:15am-4:30pm with 45 minutes for lunch. There is a basic salary on offer of 24,985. There is also 25 days holiday bank holidays and a company pension scheme.
