Pre-Press Co-ordinator / Graphic Designer
Pre-Press Co-ordinator / Graphic Designer A vacancy has arisen for a Pre-Press Co-ordinator / Graphic Designer. Duties will include creating final artwork for customer approval from the initial customer supplied artwork, preparing print ready repro files for press (stepping, trapping etc). The candidate must have strong reprographic skills and be experienced in the use of Adobe CS4/5. Previous experience within a print environment is preferable, ideally within manufacturing. You will also possess Excellent I.T Skills and be able to work to deadlines. You will be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator a good knowledge of Indesign would be a distinct advantage. You will be resourceful and flexible, with excellent attention to detail. Ideally you will also have an understanding of print processes including Flexo, Litho, and possibly Screen and Digital. The successful candidate will preferably have experience of working in a busy pre-press / production environment. We are looking for people who have exacting standards and who apply energy and enthusiasm to all they do. You will be working for one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of high quality Corrugated Packaging and Point of Sale. Main Duties include: Preparation of customer artwork for approval Creation of print ready files Ordering printing plates and proofs. Creation of work instruction files for external print suppliers. Ordering of ink swatches for flexo & litho printed jobs. Checking of proofs through to delivered flat printed sheets. You will require: Good communication skills & be a team player Ability to work under pressure whilst meeting deadlines Excellent IT skills Great attention to detail In return you will receive: A competitive salary 23 days annual holiday Generous Pension scheme Location: Derbyshire, East Midlands
