An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mac Operator / Pre-Press Operator / Reprographics Assistant to join the busy reprographics studio of a global manufacturing company whose European headquarters are based in Cwmbran, South Wales. Salary is 21,000 per annum plus benefits. Job Title: Mac Operator / Pre Press Operator / Reprographics Assistant Salary: 21,000 per annum Benefits: 28 Days holiday, Free Parking, canteen facilities, discretionary bonus scheme Location: Cwmbran / Newport / Cardiff The duties of the Mac Operator / Pre-Press Operator / Reprographics Assistant will include creating final customer proofs from the supplied raw artwork, preparing print ready repro files ready for press (stepping, trapping etc), positive film / flexo plate checking and collating job bags ready for production. Profile: Must have strong reprographic skills and be able to use Illustrator Previous experience within a print environment is essential, preferably within manufacturing Must have experience of Artpro software or Adobe Illustrator Ability to work to deadlines You will be proficient in Adobe Illustrator or Artpro and a good knowledge of Backstage / Deskpack would be a distinct advantage. You should be used to working within a pressurised manufacturing environment, be resourceful and flexible, with excellent attention to detail. Ideally you will also have an understanding of print processes including Flexo, Flatbed / Rotary Screen or Roto Gravure. Our client has asked us to state that this is a strictly non-design role. You will have worked in a busy pre-press department / production environment previously and have experience of working with blue chip clients.
