Based at Wisbech and reporting into the Operations Manager on a day to day basis, our client is looking to recruit an Engineer. The role will primarily be to provide break down cover for all production machinery and to provide planned preventative maintenance on all production machinery.
Key aspects of the role will include
o Respond to machinery break down requests from Supervisors and Managers in production.
o Prioritise break down requests in line with production requirements.
o Provide relevant break down information to the Operations Manager as and when required.
o Provide holiday cover in line with production agreement, and provide sickness cover (working or call out) where possible).
o Following maintenance work ensure the area affected is left in a clean and tidy state, in line with company hygiene policies. Work in accordance to the companys health and safety policy at all times.
o Input orders of parts correctly onto Prism in line with company policy.
o Source cost effective suppliers of machine parts to assist in cost-saving.
o Ensure the security of all tools.

Key Accountabilities
o Experience of sheet-fed printing machines is essential
o Good attendance and timekeeping
o Ability to multi-skill between electrical and mechanical tasks
o Knowledge of the carton packaging industry (litho or flexo) would be an advantage
o Flexibility in their approach
o Good organisational and self-motivational skills
o Ability to work on own initiative without supervision
o Knowledge of Microsoft Office packages would be an advantage
o Knowledge of Prism, although training will be provided
o To provide out of hours call out cover for the business £30000 - £35000/annum Location: Wisbech, Cambridgeshire
