A unique opportunity has arisen to join one of the largest independent corrugated sheet plants in the country, which offers cost-effective, creative and environmentally sound packaging solutions. The main duties and responsibilities of the role are: EMBA machine operator incorporating print (four colour process) and casemaking Liaise with other managers to plan overall production activity, daily manufacturing activity, maintenance activity, sets quality standards and estimates timescales and costs Manage production to ensure that orders are completed to an agreed date and conform to customer requirements and other requirements Oversee supervision of the production line and its staff, ensures targets are met Arrange for regular inspections of EMBA machinery and equipment to detect wear or deterioration. Skills, qualifications and experience required: Experience with flexo process printing Ability to operate EMBA machinery and to comply with health and safety regulations A Degree in Engineering Ability to safely lift and carry heavy items Good general understanding of health and safety/working safely Previous experience as a Production Operative in a packaging manufacturing environment would be desirable Closing date for applications - 11/06/13 FitzgeraldHR is acting as an agent in relation to this vacancy.
